Job Opportunity: Facilities Maintenance Manager

Organization: Beaverhead County Fairgrounds

Position Type: Season Part-time

Compensation: $23.03/hour

Overview: Beaverhead County is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Manager to oversee the operation, upkeep, and repair of the Beaverhead County Fairgrounds. This role requires a hands-on leader with technical, mechanical, and managerial skills to ensure all facilities and equipment are in top working order.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facility Upkeep: Maintain, clean, and repair fair buildings (offices, barns, horse stalls, etc.) and landscape (mowing, snow removal, road maintenance).
  • Equipment Management: Oversee and maintain facility systems and equipment, including mowers, pickups, and Gators.
  • Event Coordination: Prepare facilities for events, including the County Fair, and coordinate building rentals with the public.
  • Communication: Liaise with the Fair Board, County Commissioners, and community groups like 4-H.

Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Knowledge of various trades, general building maintenance, and equipment operation.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (walking, lifting, crouching) in various weather conditions.
  • Compliance: Valid driver’s license and a clear background check are required.
  • Availability: Must be present for the entirety of the Beaverhead County Fair and available for emergency situations.
