Fire Warden & Burn Permits
The main goal of this department is to keep the public informed on any burning closures or fire restrictions. Providing tips and education on fire prevention and making homes in the Wildland Urban Interface more fire resistant.
!!! BURN PERMITS ARE NOW ONLINE !!!
Please do not go to the Law Enforcement Annex (Sheriff’s Office) to get a burn permit as Beaverhead County Burn Permits have moved to an online system. Online Burn Permits will now cost $3.00, are valid for the calendar year (Jan-Dec), and a single permit can have multiple locations.
Please visit https://app.egovmt.com/burnpermit/ for online Burn Permits.
To obtain a Burn Permit in person visit the DES Office during normal business hours in Suite 12 at the Beaverhead County Courthouse, or call (406) 683-3766 for more information.
