Arena Director – Beaverhead County Fairgrounds
Beaverhead County is seeking a skilled and motivated Arena Director to oversee the maintenance and operation of our fairgrounds arena and rodeo facilities. This is a part-time seasonal position with hours that fluctuate based on the event season and maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance: Ensure the arena, pens, chutes, and Crow’s Nest are safe, clean, and in top working order.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate and maintain facility equipment, including tractors and groomers.
- Event Support: Prepare facilities for events and provide essential support during the Beaverhead County Fair.
- Communication: Coordinate closely with the Fairgrounds Manager and provide updates to the Fair Board and County Commission.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical and mechanical knowledge with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs) in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with the public and county officials.
- Must possess a valid Driver’s License and pass a background check.
